Go ahead. Take a walk up the hill and on to the field.
You notice something? Look down. Yea. Every single square foot of Motta Field is covered with goose shit.
The town can talk about saving the precious school. About how the fabric of the town will be changed forever if the school closes. About the difficulties of shipping the students to Nauset every day.
Thing is, you only have to take a walk out to Motta Field to see how precious the kids of Provincetown are treated.
Like the shit the field is covered with.
It should be plowed under and condemned. The state should come down and wrap yellow tape around the field as a health hazard. Spring will be upon us soon and with it kids will want a place to play baseball, softball, and other outdoor activities.
They should not be allowed on that field. Would you let YOUR kids open up an un-flushed toilet and play with the feces? I thought not.
Why then would you let your kid play on that field? A nice sliding catch of a ball and you're smeared. Better keep loads of Purell on hand.
Sure, cut back on teachers. Cut back on administration. Let the facilities go to (literally) shit.
Just please stop saying how it's all so integral to the fabric of the town when you let it get to the state that it's in.
